2026 is going to be the greatest year of your life. Because I'm going to teach you how to do difficult things, okay? And the reason for that is because I'm going to be teaching you, and I'm really good at doing difficult shit. I've run marathons, I've got a doctorate, but my most difficult goal is becoming your favorite influencer, which I know I'll be by the end of this video, so stay tuned. First and foremost, your biggest opp is your brain, because when you set a difficult goal, your brain flags it as a high energy task, and one of the fundamental goals of your brain is to preserve energy so it can keep you alive. And so it does two things to make sure that you fail your new year's resolutions. The first thing that it does is make you feel really stressed out through releasing stress hormones. And immediately at the same time, you all of a sudden have a desire to go and reach for that phone so you can get a quick dopamine hit and seek some relief. But this year, we're going to break the cycle, okay? We're not going to fall for this because we are going to set realistic goals that are difficult enough to make us feel challenged, but not so hard that our brain just thinks that we are literally dying, okay? If you didn't go to the gym in 2025, this is an unrealistic goal for 2026, and you might say, "What is the best plan then?" I'd say that's not the right question. The better question is how much can you tolerate without your brain panicking so that you can work towards reaching your goals, okay? Only you can answer that question unfortunately, but that's okay because we all have different discomfort thresholds and our brains respond differently to difficult tasks. The name of the game is becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable and you do it incrementally so that your brain learns that this is okay, we're not dying, we're just trying something new, and I can give you a little more energy to work towards that, okay? Comment a difficult goal you have in 2026 so I can support you if anything I said didn't make sense, leave a comment below. See you in the new year.
