It's 2026, if you want to learn web design, listen until the end because I'm going to give you the exact steps and methods that I use. First things first, you don't need to know how to code. You need to learn a tool and that tool is WordPress. WordPress powers over 40% of the internet. It lets you build real professional websites without touching any code. Next, learn Elementor. This is how you actually design the websites. Drag, drop, done. You're building pages visually exactly how the clients want them. Don't overcomplicate it. Learn from the right people who already know how to explain it. These are the YouTubers that I learned from: Ferdy, Darrel Wilson, and Living With Pixels. These YouTubers will teach you exactly how to learn WordPress and Elementor to build any type of website. Once you understand the basics, now it's time to start building some sample websites. This can be for any type of business. This can be a fake business, a real business, whatever you feel, but just get this portfolio built. This is how you learn fast and build a portfolio that's ready for clients to view. Next, build websites for friends, family, or any local businesses for free or for really cheap. You're not selling yet, you're stacking experience and proof. Now this part is important: start posting content. Show before and after, show how you build the website, show the process. If you're shy, you don't even have to be in the video. This can be faceless content. Having content shows that you're not just building websites, you're building authority. Here's the secret way to get clients fast. Go on Google, search for something like electricians near me or plumbers near me, whatever your niche or ideal type of client is. Go on Maps and scroll through the listings and find clients that don't have a website. Message or call them and say something like, "I noticed you don't have a website. I build them for businesses like yours." And from there, you try and close the sale. And this will give you literally an unlimited list of potential clients. And this is where most beginners mess up. Don't sell websites, you sell results. The website is just a tool to allow your client to get more results, whether that's more leads, more bookings, or more sales. Once you lead with the results, you're going to get the client, they're more likely to pay what you're asking for. If you want to learn web design in 2026 and actually get clients, I'll help you.
