Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
I am always broke. I am going to be real with you. I am always broke. Once my salary hits, I'm just waiting for those 2:00 AM direct debits. Sometimes I'm spending like a student again. But it's the best financial move I've ever made. See, most people play defense. I play total offense. Before I even see my payslip, I've already maxed out my pension via salary sacrifice. I'm clawing back the tax that would have gone to HMRC and put it in my own pocket. I don't even count the money as mine yet. It's my future self's wealth. Then automation kicks in. The second my salary lands, standing orders or direct debits fly out. My ISA gets its fill, my emergency fund is topped up. And my sinking funds for the year are covered. I've built a fitted machine that treats my savings like non-negotiable bills. By the time I open my banking app, the only money left is for food and to work. That's it. And I tell my friends all the time that I live on scraps. In my head, I'm broke, but wealth can be in the background. If you can see your money, you can spend it. If it's gone before you wake up, you're actually winning. Do you think I'm being too aggressive? Are you just as aggressive with your savings? Sound off in the comments.
