Did I buy a fake Rolex in Japan? Guys, follow along my entire journey of buying my first ever Rolex watch in Osaka, Japan. And now I'm back in New York City and it's time to go see if this watch that I bought was real or not. Besides all of the love, the number one comment that I got across both Instagram and TikTok was, is that watch real? So I researched and I found Grand Central Watch repair. I found them on TikTok actually, you guys, because I saw that they had a video of them actually inspecting the watch and opening it up and that was the number one thing that I was looking for because I know that some places in New York City, the dealers out here will just inspect it with the eye, but I'm like, no, I need you to pop that top and check the serial number, the condition and the movement of the watch. My goal wasn't to sell it, but to get it insured. So in order to get your watch insured, you have to get it appraised and of course, authenticated. I picked up my watch and yay! It was real, guys. Not only did they check for authentication, they also checked for the condition and they told me when it potentially would need to get service. So in total, to get it appraised, I spent $190 in total and honestly, y'all, peace of mind is priceless and I would do it all again. Would you buy a luxury watch abroad?
