I stopped using Claude after being a Claude fanboy for a couple of months, and maybe you should too. A lot of devs are moving off of Claude right now, and it's pretty relevant considering they just updated their terms of service today. So officially forbid you from using your Cloud subscription and all of your favorite open source apps including open cloud, open code, pi. And there's probably a lot of people thinking, well, why should I care? Anthropic, much more so than the other AI labs, want to be very controlling of how you use AI from them that you pay for. I think this is actually somewhat serious. AI is a commodity. It's intelligence on demand. Soon, if not already, your value within society is going to be somewhat correlated with how much AI or intelligence you can use. So, the AI companies are really kind of like electricity companies, like electricity that comes to your house or even the grocery store that you go to to get food. Now, imagine there's one grocery store you go to that allows you to do whatever you want with your food. You bought the food, you can make a salad with it or you can throw it on the street. Now, there's another grocery store who says, you can buy food from us. But we're also going to give you this bowl and these utensils and you must eat it with this. Well, you want to blend it into a smoothie and eat it that way because you bought the food, I mean it's yours. And the grocery store says, well, no, we'd really prefer that you consume your food via a plate in bowl, the ones that we gave to you. If enough people want to consume via a smoothie, then in a couple of months we'll create a blender. You say, well, hold on, there's a free blender over there. I can just use and this is, no, no, you need to use our blender. Anthropic is trying to control the whole stack pretty aggressively. They're not just the Wi-Fi plan that you pay for. They're the website that you visit over the Wi-Fi and there're also the phone that you use to visit the website over their Wi-Fi plan that you pay for. They don't want you to use open cloud. That's why they created cloud code. They don't want you to use open code. They want you to use cloud code. And to those who are saying open AI is the same. No, they're not at all. Codex is open source. And several weeks ago when antic file copyright notices to the biggest open source AI projects on GitHub. Open AI, Microsoft copy-in and others, reached out and offered to provide an official integration so you can use your Chatbot Pro officially in open code. Just a few days ago, open AI basically bought open claw and re-affirm that it will remain completely open source. So a very long way of saying, I love the claw models and I was such a cloud fanboy, but I switched completely to. And this is
