Want to leave the US?

If you're an American and you're thinking of leaving the US, you need to start here. I'm going to tell you today the top documents you are going to need before you move abroad. If you already know the country you're moving to, perfect. If you don't, that's okay. You can still start collecting paperwork because a lot of countries have the same starting documents. I'll link the video about it so you can click right here if you're interested. Number one, FBI background check. It does expire, so you have to time it correctly with any visa paperwork and your move. Obviously, you're going to need your friend here, the passport. If you don't have a passport, you need to get one. Everyone's going to need this. It can take a long time to get a passport these days because everyone's trying to get them so quickly. And you need to make sure your passport is not going to expire within the next six months to a year. If it is, get it renewed. You need your official birth certificate, marriage and divorce certificates, if that's applicable. You're going to need proof of income or savings, especially for non-work visas like retirement visas, passive income visas, driving records, education records, health records. All those things are great to have. Some are required, some are just suggested. FBI background check, birth certificate, marriage certificate, all of these things have to be apostilled. It can definitely be overwhelming and every country has different requirements, but these are going to be the basics that you're going to need regardless.
