So if you're planning to come out to Dubai for 2026, here are some things you need to know if you don't know them already. A little bit of context, I moved out here about four months ago and I had absolutely no job lined up. First thing is you cannot rent until you have your employment visa and you cannot work until your job issues you an employment visa. Okay, I kind of got this mixed up. You need an employment visa to work in Dubai and you need an Emirates ID to rent in Dubai. You get your Emirates ID after your visa is processed. However, the rules are always changing, so do check this stuff yourself. Employment visas can take about like anything from two weeks to, you know, a month, two months to be processed. It really just depends on your company and how quickly they do it. There's like express, non-express, so you need to be on top of them because until they process your employment visa for you to start working, you cannot rent at all and you're going to be in Airbnbs, yeah, until that happens, which is a bit of a cash loss. It can be really hard to land a job. It doesn't matter what experience that you have. If you have a lot of experience, if you have no experience, you can have too much experience and, you know, you need a senior role or companies can't match your salary or you can have no experience and companies don't want to work with you for that reason. That's something to keep in mind. I'm not saying it's impossible at all. I was able to get my first offer two weeks in or three weeks in. So, yeah, just keep that in mind. Come out here with either a decent amount of savings or with a job. Don't come out here with like without either. Hopefully that's very obvious, but as I said, it can take you a lot of time to get a position. So I would say come out here with at least three months worth of cash just to give yourself a fair chance when it comes to landing a position. But also, you need to bear in mind like the deposits for the apartment that you're going to rent and things like that. Another thing is that a lot of like agents or owners will want you to pay like 50% of the rental amount and then another 50%. So you'll pay two checks in one year, if that makes sense. You can't pay per month. Not saying all at all, but it's usually the case. It'll be two checks or four checks. But if you try hard enough, you definitely can find companies that will allow you to pay monthly. It's just not as common and they may ask you to pay more. The last thing I'd say is it is probably easier coming out here with a partner. Obviously, that's not something you can like determine. Obviously, you can, but you can't. But it is a bit easier. You know, you're splitting expenses. One of you might get a job first and get the employment visa first. You can kind of combine your savings. So that's another thing to just think about. But again, it's not impossible if you're coming out here on your own, you're single. You can still do it. It's just a bit harder, I would say personally, but that's just from my experience. So, yeah. Best of luck, guys, and let me know if you have any more questions.
