The MacBook Neo might be Apples most controversial product right now. A lot of people online are calling it the worst Apple product ever made, so I bought the MacBook Neo myself to see if that’s actually true. After testing the MacBook Neo for everyday things like emails, watching videos, school work and light editing, I realised this laptop is clearly designed more for the average consumer rather than creatives needing more performance for intense tasks. But if you’re a student or someone looking to use it for light tasks such as writing documents, watching videos, doing school work, and light photo and video editing, then I would recommend it. But if you're a creative and needing more powerful longer projects, I probably wouldn't recommend it. Still, this laptop handles 4K video surprisingly well. One quick serviceable downside I found is that the keyboard isn't backlit, so you aren't fully able to see the keys when typing in low light environments. But if you're a student, you can actually even get an extra $100 off. So this is definitely going to be my go-to to take on me from now on. Realistically though, when most people are shopping for laptops, they get too fixated on the specs. When most of the time they just end up using it for a bigger screen to do scroll. So don't overthink it. If you're the target market, then I'd say it's a good buy. If this video gets 1000 followers, I'm going to try playing Fortnite on it.
