The new MacBook Neo might be one of Apple's most innovative products in years and after using it for the past few days, I think I finally understand who this thing is for. Now, as someone who reviews a lot of tech, I had to kind of unlearn many things while making this video because the Target Demographic who plans to go out and buy a laptop like this doesn't care about bleeding edge tech or specs. They care about the price point and what you get for the money. So, for 599 or 499 with a student discount, you're getting a well-built laptop with an all aluminum body. Access to Mac OS and the entirety of the Apple ecosystem and 16 hours of battery life. The screen is super sharp and seems to get plenty bright enough in my initial testing and one thing I love is the fact that there's no notch in the top of the display. The bezels are a little thicker than other MacBook, but I love how this screen looks. And one super interesting use case that I realized could be incredible with a laptop like this is the iPhone mirroring feature. If you already have an iPhone, you can control it wirelessly with this laptop. So, tasks like making videos in cap cut or editing photos can be off-loaded from the Neo without sacrificing any power. Now, I have seen some people wondering if you should get this laptop or maybe an entry-level iPad with a keyboard and truthfully that will just come down to preference. A touchscreen-based OS is great for some things, but lots of people just want to match. But honestly, think this thing is going to be incredibly popular for casual users who just want a laptop in the Apple ecosystem. Something to watch videos on, browse the web or work on documents. And at this price point, the MacBook Neo is pretty hard to ignore.
