so you're thinking about getting the MacBook Neo but you're wondering whether it's actually powerful enough. I've tested it out in 4 ways: productivity, watching content, gaming, and coding and I'll tell you at the end if I actually think it's worth it. 1. productivity wise it's super easy to carry around because it's so lightweight and it fits in most handbags. For everyday tasks this is where it shines whether you're making Powerpoints, doing college work, emailing, listening to Spotify, anything. I did not find any issues. 2. content wise the Liquid Retina display is unmatched it's such a nice experience to watch anything on. Next is gaming. I saw a lot of people say they play the Sims on their Neos but honestly when I went to play I experienced a lot of crashing. For less demanding games this should be completely fine but anything more intense I'd stay away from. 4. finally the most important category coding so right here I'm running 3 local AI agents whilst building a bioinformatics pipeline and I didn't experience any freezing or performance issues. That said I haven't used it for a full week of my actual bioinformatics job so let me not make any claims on it until then. Overall for everyday tasks this laptop wins anything more intensive I would stick with the Pro.
