Somebody told me that you wanted to learn how to clean inbetween the glass of your oven door. If you have a warranty on your oven, make sure that you check with the manufacturer first, because if you clean it in the way that I'm about to show you, it could void your warranty. This is an old oven that we haven't gotten rid of yet, so I'm fine to clean it on this. It has no warranty. And also, this is another reason why I don't offer it in my cleaning business. So let's go. First things first, open up the oven door, take a flathead screwdriver and pull the little pieces back on both sides. When you lift up the door some, you're going to pull straight up so that it detaches from the stove. Now I'll lay it on the dining room table and this little part at the bottom is where you can stick something in to clean, but I'll be unscrewing it. Now, all oven doors are not the same. Some doors that when you take these screws off on both sides, the handle stays on, but on this Whirlpool, it does not. It comes all the way off. As you can see, when you pull it out, the bottom part will drop down and this is why I decided to take the door off in the first place. This is where I also realized that you need another person to help you, because how are you going to hold this door open and clean at the same time? So I would advise you to get some help, put this door back together and put it back. But if you want to go a little bit further, there is a silver line at the bottom with screws on either side. At this point, when you take the screws out of both sides, you will be able to completely open this door up. But things will start to come off as you can see, and it can be really difficult to put this door back together again. So I do not recommend it, but I am going to show you. So now I take my scraper and I clean the grime, then I take a non-scratch pad and clean the glass. So on the other side, I'm going to take a little Dawn and water, use my scraper to remove the grime, but that's when I realized it's not on this side of the glass. So it's actually inside another pane that I cannot get to. So on some ovens, there's a part that you can get on into for a different side of the glass, but on this particular oven, you can't do it. So at this point, I'm feeling like I did all of that for nothing. Now I have to get all of these pieces back together, get this oven door screwed back back properly, because if I don't, I can end up breaking the glass. So I have to make sure that it's aligned in this middle piece of the door handle so that it doesn't come apart. Once I have it secured and check to see if the glass doesn't drop down, I'll screw everything back together. Then I'll check it one more time and I'll place the oven door back on the oven. Lay it down, then take those little pieces and put them back. Then just close the door. So as you can see, that was a lot of work. Was it worth it to me? Absolutely not, because the stains that are in that particular oven are in the other part of the glass, which I can't get to. So hope this video helps.
