I just came from a free walkthrough consultation and the client told me that the reason she chose me was because I came in looking like a business. Now what does that mean? First of all, I came in with a professional top on. Nothing fancy, just a nice collared shirt that's clean and it looks professional. I also came in with a checklist that goes over every part of the home, what type of countertops they have, what type of flooring, and everything they like me to do inside of the home and I check it off on my checklist. The next thing I did was I sat down with her. We went over the checklist, went over the service agreement, and any other concerns that she may have had. And one other thing that she expressed to me was that my business be insured. That was very important to her. Now this client has had cleaners before, but she said she never had anyone come in the home in the way that I did. And that's what can set your business apart. It doesn't cost a lot to get a collared shirt. It doesn't take much time to make a checklist, and you always need to take the time out to explain the things to your clients. These are the type of things that can win you clients. So if you're trying to start a cleaning business, I would tell you to start there. Be professional, be intentional, and take the time to make that potential client feel comfortable. These are the type of things that can turn a potential client into a current client. I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your day and bye-bye.
