Making money as a content creator isn't what it once was. A couple years ago you could post consistently, build a decent following and make a substantial income as a creator. But today that narrative's changed quite a bit. RPM is down, brands are swapping out paid collabs for gifting and AI is pumping out what used to take months in days. But here's what most people are missing. The creators that are winning right now aren't just the ones that are working harder, they're the ones that are making content that's harder to replicate. They have a unique stance, a level of insight and a specific understanding of their audience which a brand just can't go and find somewhere else for cheaper. That's how you command the real rates. So if you're a creator right now, ask yourself, what do you have that other creators don't and how can you bring that into your content? That's your USP and if you can't answer that clearly, that's where you need to start.
