It feels to me like we are exiting the five dollar Uber era of AI. Remember that glorious time back in maybe 2013 when you could take an Uber literally across the entire city of San Francisco for like five dollars, and now that exact same ride probably costs you fifty dollars. The last 12 months of using AI tools has felt like that early Uber era to me, where with a 20 dollar subscription you could produce so much output, it felt like such a good deal. And I feel like we are now entering this period where the costs are starting to go up.
