The plot of this show is so unhinged that I think it is going to cause so much discussion online. The Audacity is a dark comedy about Silicon Valley and the tech billionaire class, how absurdly out of touch these people are. It follows the CEO of this billion dollar tech company, Duncan Park, who is kind of dumb. Like he doesn't have any technical skills within the company, he just knows how to inflate the stock price, which he does over and over again until it starts to implode on him. And it shows how the people that are supposed to be shaping the future are ones that seem to barely even be able to manage the present. The show was created by Jonathan Glatzer, who was also a writer and producer on shows like Succession and Better Call Saul. So there's this element of humor about the absurdity of corporate America and just all of the annoying workplace situations we've all had to deal with, especially when you have leadership you either don't always like or just isn't always the smartest person in the room, which begs the question, what happens when the people building tomorrow are the ones who are actually least equipped to handle today?
