Let's paint this house pink and get it once step closer to being a real-life Barbie house that you can stay at. I started the day with going to Lowe's to pick out the perfect pink paint. Who knew there were so many different shades of pink and so many different kinds of paint? I ended up going with the shade Jaguar Rose in Valspar Defense, $70 a gallon. It was quite pricey, but it's supposed to be the best. When I arrived at the house, Dad was working on the finishing touches of the siding and I started caulking all the holes and cracks in the shakes so that I can give it a nice smooth coat of paint. About that time, a storm started to roll in, but one thing about Dad is that he's not a quitter and he insists that we continue. This is definitely his first time ever painting something pink and he's hoping it's his last. Me on the other hand, I'm just getting started. This little pop of color is really starting to bring my vision to life and I know you guys have been waiting so patiently to see some pink. After spending most of my day going up and down the ladder and moving it around, I finally got the first coat finished. Trust me when I say, don't judge it based on this, because it looks so much better with a second coat. Come back tomorrow to see the final look!
