I'm back with the long-awaited part two of transforming this Goodwill headboard into a sign for my pink Airbnb. If you missed part one, I thrifted this headboard for only $8.99 and we're giving it a little makeover. To be honest, the makeover started back in July and the video got almost 4 million views, but leave it to me to just now be posting part two, so please forgive me. One thing about me is that I always have a million projects going on at once with this renovation and this one had to be postponed because we were getting ready for the final inspection and obviously there was more important things to get done. Is it just me or does it seem like the important things to get done are never actually the fun thing? Anyways, this is one of those fun projects that I'm excited to get back to. My original plan was to have the sign completely finished before installing it, but I guess dad was feeling spontaneous today because this was his last minute idea, so the new plan is I'll just finish painting it once it's up. I think it took longer to figure out where to put it than it did to actually get it in the ground, but we're adding this concrete around the post just to secure it a little more. I already have the words Pink Dreams Cottage stenciled on, so now I'm just going back and painting each letter. This is by far the most time consuming part, but I feel like this is really where it's starting to look like a sign instead of a headboard. I'm also adding the address to the bottom like you guys suggested, but it was not going well at all, so dad came to the rescue and of course made it look perfect. Last but certainly not least, I added this clear coat to protect it from the weather.
