Pink Christmas Thrift Shopping. I think your Airbnb into a winter wonderland. Today we're on a mission to find vintage Christmas houses and buildings like this because we're going to paint them and create the most beautiful pink Christmas village. The plan is to empty out these bookshelves because I think this will be the perfect place for our Christmas village. We have 14 shelves to fill, so I'm thinking we're going to need around like 30 houses. Believe it or not, these are actually pretty hard to find at thrift stores and sometimes when you do find them they're so overpriced. I guess because they're vintage and people are starting to collect them again. I've seen the really good ones in boxes priced at like $30 a piece before, but our budget is more like $5 a piece. I'm willing to splurge if I find one that I really love, but since we're redoing them anyways, they don't have to be anything too special. Actually, this is the perfect example of one that I'd been willing to pay a little bit more for because it's just so unique and beautiful, but lucky for us, it's looking like it's going to be a good thrift day because this one is only $4.99. Okay, yep, can confirm it's a good thrift day because how is this $3.99? Just imagine how cute this is going to be painted pink and gold. I really like when I find neutral ones like this because it's going to be so much easier to paint than the ones with all of the tiny details. Last but not least, we're adding these three to the collection. That's a total of seven so far, so the hunt is not over. A lot of thrift stores are just now getting all of their Christmas stuff out, so make sure you follow along because we're going to go thrifting again this week. It's already mid-November, so it's time to pick up the pace because we're decorating both the inside and outside of Pink Dreams Cottage.
