Earlier this month, I went on the best trip of my adult life and I fear I can't gatekeep this one. So welcome to the Porto Diaries. From everything we did, ate, saw, and all the fun we had, I'm packing you in my suitcase and I'm taking you with me. This was day one arrivals. We all flew in to celebrate my friend Zainab's 25th birthday. Our flight arrived a little bit early so we couldn't check into our Airbnb yet, so we ended up walking around Porto and found the cutest little restaurant owned by this sweetest grandma who made the best sangria in all of Porto. By then it was time to check into the Airbnb and y'all, new digs, okay? Like this house was incredible. We had our own backyard, there was lemon and orange trees, hardwood finishes throughout the entire house, full kitchen, everything you could possibly need. And there was no time for naps, okay? Birthday girl kept us booked and busy, so we started getting ready for the evening. We had drinks and dinner, but of course we had to have a little jam session in between. And everybody put that on, okay? This was night one. This is the bday girl Zainab, Merry, Ananya, and Sally Belly. We went to this popular rooftop garden called Bosq for sunset drinks and the vibes there were immaculate. You had these amazing views overlooking Porto onto the Douro River and this big beautiful yellow wall, the pictures that we took there, y'all. I actually can't wait to post them, y'all. Hold on, hold on. Everybody ordered spritzers. I got a Hugo's there. You get it? I'm not funny. Okay. At this point I had to hand Ananya the phone. Night one of Porto, we're live. We're having great conversations. We are. Good times. And now, what are we talking about? I can't tell you, but they don't accept Amex. I don't know what we're about to do. We gotta make a plan. Drink, drink, drink. We have Amex. I'm not. I need to. And no cash. So that's another story for another day, y'all. But when I tell you Portugal is hills, I wasn't expecting to workout to get everywhere, but yeah, basically I got my steps in. Don't even worry about it. We walked about 30 minutes to dinner at this place called Canti. I ordered nachos and a chicken salad and I was watching some football match, but we had to head home and get rested for day two, because when I tell you this trip only gets better, I'll see you guys in the next one. Obrigada.
