I wanna be a Porto. Now how do we get here? First off, hello and group hug to all the new friends here. We love y'all down. Welcome to day three, episode three of the Porto Diaries. If you haven't already seen the other episodes, go watch them because I'm telling you right now, Porto was nothing short of iconic. This was a long day. We started off at the local market for breakfast. I'll put the name here. It's basically an open market that sells everything from fresh vegetables, cooked meals, clothes, jewelry, trinkets, literally everything we were looking for. So we all split up and I stopped at this fresh juice and fruit stand for the tastiest coconut milk drink I've had in a while. I'm a coconut girl, okay, through and through, but sometimes there's just too much pulp in coconut drinks, but this one was perfect and I also got a fruit cup and it all came out to be like three euros. So we might have got a little carried away in the market. The two Virgo split off, me and Ananya were on the third floor for the longest looking for jewelry. They had gold bracelets, beaded bangles, statement earrings, pins. I found some really cute dainty necklaces and flower bracelets for my little sisters. And the shopping didn't stop there. There was also vendors outside selling the same things and they also had the traditional Portuguese tiles. I got some magnet form for my fridge. And then we stumbled upon one of the oldest stores in Porto, A Perola do Bolhao, I think is how you say it. They sell tin fish and specialize in sardines, which you know, when it comes to the sardine, I'm going to eat it. They had sardines in lemon juice, in tomato sauce, sardines with grilled peppers. They even had grilled octopus and smoked salmon. So you know, I got one of each. After shopping, we went sightseeing and saw those famous tiles in real life at the Chapel of Souls or Capela das Almas. Of course, we had to get a fit pic in. These will be on the feed soon and Ananya just had to sneak up and photobomb me. Of course, of course. I expect nothing less of Miss Miam at this point. Then we did a little bit more walking to see the Porto Cathedral and incredible views of the entire city. You could see both sides of the Douro River and the architecture is like a postcard. Everyone was out because it was like Easter weekend. It was really beautiful to see all the families come together for church. Then it was finally time to head back to the Airbnb, relax and get ready for the rest of the night and everyone looked so good like. Now we tried to go back to Bosco's for sunset, but friend, look at that line. We don't wait in lines. So we went to the restaurant next door and it was packed out there. Like this place was playing 50 Cent music videos. It was really a vibe. You had to be there. We got our lemonades and then we headed back to the park to be one with the locals and of course we had to capture that golden hour glow. But guys, the park was so vibrant, so lively. Everyone was dancing, playing music, having so much fun. And then we embarked on another 30 minute walk to dinner. And I learned from the first night not to wear heels to wear flats because again, heels. We went to eat at this fusion restaurant called Flow. We shared a bunch of apps. Again, everything was amazing. One thing I can confidently say about Porto is that they have top tier food, service and wines. I ordered the sea bass with potato mash, which was absolutely devoured demurely. We had to conserve our energy, so I ordered a coffee because this was Zainab's birthday dinner and she was turning 25 that night, so it was mandatory that we went out after this. We ended up going to the Galeria de Paris, which is like four open streets of bars and restaurants. A few people suggested that we go here and I'm so glad that we ended up going because we had the best time talking and vibing with the locals. Mind your business. I wanna be a Porto. You know all that mattered was that the birthday girl had fun and she did. The clock struck 12 and Miss Mama turned 25, so we headed back home and Maddie gave us a concert in the car. And when we got back, Zainab surprised us with letters on her birthday. I just had to cry because friendship is such a blessing and I'm just so glad that we got to do this together. And guys, that's not all. This was only day three of five and it only gets better, so be sure you guys follow, stay tuned and watch for the rest of the Porto Diaries. And if you made it to the end, comment.
