My mentor reminded me today that broken people say broken things. Toxic people say toxic things. Insecure people will call you insecure. Terrible people will call you a terrible person. Crazy people will say crazy things. So the next time somebody says something about you, consider the source. If the person's insecure, they're going to hate on you. They're going to be jealous of you. If the person's toxic, they're going to make you out to be the bad guy. Higher you climb, the more people have things to say. Because reality is, they want to be you. So it's easier for them put you down, makes them feel better. So let them. Who cares? As long as you can look in the mirror, know that you're a good wife, you're a good partner. You're a good employer, you're a good person. That's all that really matters. All this noise and all the people that have things to say, they're going to say it. So let them.
