I'm working two jobs to try to afford this economy. So welcome to a day in my life as a 22-year-old living in downtown Toronto. I was actually off today even though I tried to pick up a shift but it never got approved. I spent the last four months living in New York City which was literally such an amazing experience. But now I really need to lock in and save as much money as possible. Financial stress is not fun and unfortunately I've had my fair share of circumstances where I've been quite familiar with it in my adult life. But also a lot of the time the stress has been self-induced so I have to take some accountability there. I had to study the wine menu for the new restaurant that I'm working at. So, I went to my favorite coffee shop and got a freshly baked cookie with my favorite ice cream espresso drink. I can't even explain the happiness and joy this gives me. Like truly it's all I need in my day. And then I also needed to buy a new work uniform for this restaurant. So, I went to Uniklo and spent $150 which literally gave me anxiety for the rest of the day. Then I had a nap because life exhausts me. But I cooked my favorite dinner, which I was really excited about. I went on an evening walk. and then just had a quiet night in.
