3 things I wish I knew at the beginning of building my brand Hi, I'm Jane and my six-figure brand revenue is 6 figures a month and here are some things that I wish I'd known when I first started out that would have built our business so much faster. While you might have an incredible product, distribution for that product is key. There's lots of ways you can get natural distribution that aren't just being an influencer. One of the most underrated ways to increase that distribution is having product channel. You might be an incredible artist that sells their paintings for $1000. Try selling that painting in a gallery, $1000 is going to seem like a steal. Try selling it here on TikTok, I don't think you'll see any sales. When we were developing clean sheets which are our better for you skincare wipes, we decided to sell them in a pack of 25 instead of a pack of 30. It was obvious how expensive the ingredients in here are, there is no way we could make a 30 pack under $30. I knew that was kind of the high end of having something be shoppable on TikTok. We decreased how many came in each box even though it's slightly worse for subscription, to make sure it could be an impulse product. Be honest about your product. It's time I was really afraid to talk about the price of clean sheets because they are definitely more expensive than makeup wipes that are currently on the market. But we were really trying to create a brand new category with skincare wipes. Our top performing ads is literally me talking about how I know clean sheets are expensive, but this is why I think they're worth it. Really tackling head on what consumers might be concerned about. Trying to get advice from like huge entrepreneurs who have already created household name brands. Obviously, that's what you want to eventually get to. But I have always found that the most helpful advice that I've gotten is truly from people who are one to two steps ahead of me and those are the people who you can lean on through your journey and are also going to be more willing to actually take your calls. Let me know if that was helpful and if I should do more.
