Let's break down what it actually costs to go to the Met Gala because it's probably not what you think. For starters, a regular person cannot buy a ticket. You have to be invited. And if you are invited, a single ticket can cost up to $75,000. A table of ten of your favorite celebrities can easily run you more than a down payment on a house. Most celebrities attending the gala don't actually pay for a ticket. The fashion houses that are buying seats or a full table and inviting the talent. If you're invited by fashion house, they're probably providing your accommodations. For example, this was the Valentino table at the 2021 Met Gala.
