I've made over $20,000 in brand partnerships this year. And the least glamorous part about being a creator, taxes. Something I'm not going to lie, I know nothing about. So when H&R Block invited me to their creator summit, it was the perfect opportunity to learn how to properly monetize while building an empire on social media. And also serve a look. I work a 9-to-5, but I've also built a personal brand that's turned into a real business. Brand deals, digital products, partnerships. As a creator, the moment you start getting paid from brand partnerships, you're not just posting content anymore, you're an entrepreneur running a business. And the business is you. And the admin side, the contracts, the income streams, the budgeting and expenses, that's the part no one glamorizes, but it's what keeps your business running. One of my biggest takeaways from the H&R Block Creator Summit was, if you're making money as a creator, even on the side, you need to treat it like a business early. The earlier you understand taxes, write-offs, income streams, the easier it is to scale without stress. As I continue to grow my personal brand, having the right financial support definitely matters. And that's why experiences like this are so important. I'm so grateful for H&R Block and TikTok for creating space to learn these things.
