Welcome to the free will era for Millennials & Gen Z This summer is the free will era, for lack of a better word, because AI is blatantly challenging the prime earning years for multiple generations. Aliens are apparently real and we just collectively moved on from all that. Inflation is getting pretty bad, and wage growth isn't keeping up. There's layoffs across industries, gas prices are at their highest in 25 years, and every time a millennial tries to buy a home, they're somehow in a bidding war with a hedge fund or a private equity shop. And by the way, like all of our 401ks collectively, like, rest on the shoulders of basically seven companies having good quarters indefinitely. So we really only got one option or really all this. And that's why this is the summer of the free will. Not reckless or, you know, irresponsible, just the reasonable acknowledgement that we have been white knuckling crisis to crisis for decades, and at some point, you kinda have to book that trip, treat yourself a little bit more often, and, you know, find every excuse possible to spend more time on a boat than on your laptop this summer. Because what else are we gonna throw our way? We've been through like a lifetime experiences.
