Trying the Brad Mondo butterfly haircut for the first time ever. As you can see my hair has gotten very long. I just need a refresh before the summer, so let's get into it. Step one is completely wetting all of my hair. I feel like this is going to take forever. Never mind, I just hopped into the shower. Step two, I'm going to find the highest point of my head. Is that right? What do you think? I'm going to connect that point with the back of my ears. Let's check if these lines are straight. Now I'm going to tie up these two sections of my hair. Step three, just going to comb out everything. You're supposed to use a fine tooth comb. I don't have one. Wish me luck. Once there aren't any tangles, you can just just go in and just do it. Wait. I'm nervous. To make sure I'm cutting around the same length from my first and second section, I'm going to use my Kindle as a measure. Should we do it? That wasn't that hard. I'm not very emotionally attached to my hair. Ooh, okay. So for the other section, I'm supposed to pull it straight up and cut the same length, but clearly I have too much hair that I'm working with. I got help. Three, two, one. That does not feel straight. You're cutting it more, you're cutting more and more. You're making me, oh my gosh. That does not look even. It feels so short. Oh my god, where did my hair go? Oh. Oh. It's still pretty long. Then you're supposed to just blend and make sure that these layers transition smoothly and there's no choppiness. How am I going to do this? You know what? She's fine. I want to put some hair oil in. Protect the new ends of my hair. And final reveal. Okay, I think that was pretty successful. Definitely would recommend that to anyone who's trying to do simple layers at home. I'm excited to figure out how to style it so it looks more voluminous. Okay, I'll see you next time. Bye.
