America may have just implemented the single most destructive policy by requiring those who are applying for a green card to return to their home country indefinitely and only allowed re-entry once that green card is approved. This is not a legal immigration. These are many of the world's best and brightest that we are telling to go home. One of the greatest assets and advantages of America is that the smartest mathematicians from Bulgaria, and the innovator from Taiwan, the world-class researcher from Lebanon, the best surgeon from Japan moved to the United States and try and naturalize. Then, as I am a prime example of their kids become American citizens and are also successful. Yes, we absolutely should prioritize Americans. The uncomfortable truth that many people don't want to admit is that immigrants like green card holders are actually more likely to start businesses than native-born Americans. They pay more in taxes than native-born Americans. They commit crimes less than native-born Americans. To be honest, oftentimes they're more patriotic about America than native-born Americans. They are not taking resources from anyone who was born here. For hundreds of years, they have been literally creating more resources than they take. And it is very likely that those people who are now told to go home will either create their brilliant inventions in their home country or will move to another country that will welcome them there. What a complete and total self-own.
