Investment or to Where to apply To put it simply, Basically, there are 3 main groups The first group is Banks or Securities Firms For commercial banks in Thailand. the main ones include KBank KBank, SCB or Bangkok Bank BBL KBank, SCB or Bangkok Bank ส่วน Security ใหญ่ๆ For major securities firms, KKP there are Kiatnakin Phatra FNS or Finansa Exposure of work is quite broad Exposure of work is quite broad You'll get to work on IPOs M&A กอง REITs M&A, REITs Bond หรือว่า Restructuring ค่ะ Bond or even Restructuring We think that this group may fit those who don't know yet which type or size of deal you prefer because it offers a chance to see a wide variety of work And we also view it as a good place to build a solid foundation for an Investment Banking career. The second group is Boutique IB These are houses that focus more on specialized areas So, the work exposure will heavily depend on each firm Like Quant Group from what we've heard, they are highly prominent in M&A or PrimeStreet Advisory They offer a wider range of services, covering both M&A and Strategic Advisory But the difference from banks of boutique firms tends to be much flatter So, Juniors might have more opportunities to get hands-on work quite a lot so we think it might suit those who prefer a smaller organization and are starting to know themselves better What kind of deal you like Lastly, the final group Whether it's PwC, KPMG, EY or Deloitte they usually understand that these firms only do Audit But they actually have Corporate Finance team under the Deal Advisory department or the Transaction Service focusing on M&A on both the Sell-Side and Buy-Side This group would suit those who want to specialise specifically in M&A and prefer an environment that has a more international vibe including the deal that you might encounter. So, is the interview difficult? How should you prepare? See you in the next video!
