COUNTLESS MEMORIES WERE CREATED WITHIN THESE WALLS, AND IT HAS BEEN AN HONOR TO BE PART OF A VENUE THAT MEANT SO MUCH TO SO MANY PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE YEARS. THIS DECISION DID NOT COME LIGHTLY. LIKE MANY DOWNTOWN BUSINESSES, WE HAVE FOUGHT THROUGH RISING OPERATIONAL COSTS, INCREASING CITY AMB FEES, AND ONGOING CHALLENGES THAT CONTINUE TO MAKE OPERATING A DOWNTOWN ORLANDO NIGHTCLUB DIFFICULT EVERY YEAR. UNFORTUNATELY, THE LACK OF MEANINGFUL SUPPORT OR SOLUTIONS FROM LOCAL LEADERSHIP AND CITY OFFICIALS FOR THE DOWNTOWN NIGHTLIFE COMMUNITY HAS ONLY ACCELERATED THESE STRUGGLES. WHAT HAS BEEN EVEN MORE DISHEARTENING IS WATCHING THE ENVIRONMENT DOWNTOWN CONTINUE TO DECLINE. THE STREETS HAVE BECOME OVERWHELMED WITH LOITERING, OPEN CONTAINER ABUSE, VIOLENCE HARASSMENT, AND CROWDS THAT DO NOT SUPPORT THE BUSINESSES THAT KEEP DOWNTOWN ALIVE. MANY LONGTIME PATRONS AND VISITORS NO LONGER FEEL COMFORTABLE COMING DOWNTOWN, AND THE ATMOSPHERE THAT ONCE MADE THIS AREA SPECIAL HAS CHANGED DRAMATICALLY.
