Everyone is burning through their Claude tokens and the biggest reason is because you keep uploading PDFs. You do realise that one page can cost 3,000 tokens, so a 50 page document can burn through your entire day's usage. The reason is when you upload a PDFs to Claude, it's gonna convert every page into an image and then it reads the image using OCR to make sense of all the text and every word that it converts and reads is gonna cost you tokens. So instead, you need to convert all of your PDFs into a markdown file. Now the quickest way to do this is upload your PDF into your Google Drive, then click on the three dot menu and open with Google Docs and then simply just download that as .md file. Now upload this file to Claude and it's gonna save you all of your tokens.
