I hate the fact that I paid $4,200 for a gym membership. But what I hate even more is that I don't like the fucking gym. So it's crazy to me that I'm paying $350 a month for this gym. And before you come at me saying I would never pay that for a gym, that's the point. People with that mindset are not at that gym, which is the one benefit of that gym. But everything else I really hate about this gym. At least this location. And for you to understand this story a little bit better, there's two really nice gyms in my area in Florida. You have Lifetime Gym and then you have Equinox. Equinox and Lifetime are both $300 to $350 a month. Lifetime is about 20 minutes away from me. Equinox is 5 minutes away from me. And I knew. Lifetime I've been there for about a year. It is the most superior gym you could ever ask for. Every amenity, every type of class, rooftop pool and bar, it has a restaurant built into it. It has co-working spaces. It has a cold plunge, hot tub, sauna, massage chairs, literally everything. And it is huge. Like it is four fucking stories tall. And then you have the new Equinox that I signed up to because it's so close to walking distance. This place is so small. Barely has any machines. Literally no amenities besides your standard sauna. Doesn't even have a cold plunge. It has a cold shower, which I guess is better for health reasons. That's it. No pickleball courts, no outdoor area, no pool, no nothing. And they just keep selling out memberships. This sale, that sale, this sale, everyone's coming in. And it is so small. At the end of the day, these are very privileged problems to have. And I'm very grateful to have a beautiful gym to work out at. But once your one-year contract is up, I am not renewing again in Equinox.
