The Problem Was Never Fixed

Another shop charged this customer $50 to reconnect the battery and turn Secure Boot back on. Did it fix the laptop? Temporarily. The CMOS error came back, and so did the boot problem. We've seen this many times on modern laptops. The internal battery starts failing, BIOS settings get lost, Secure Boot resets, and suddenly the computer won't start.
