Hook

Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
There was a standoff in the wrong spot, you would have fried your board. Hey, you guys just called? Yes. So you need your front panel hooked up? Yeah, I got most of it put together. There we go. Here's the deal. After noticing with this thing standing back up, yeah, I can connect the ribbon cables for you, or I mean the front panel connectors. This is how it's supposed to be going in through the back and coming up the bottom here through the little hole. But your motherboard isn't seated properly. You can tell right here. You can see there's a gap right here. Which means there's probably a standoff. You have the wrong screws in too. Well, they probably Those are the screws we took out of the original motherboard standoff. Okay. Okay. And that's fine. Not necessarily the wrong screws, just the wrong heads, but it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. There's plenty of screws, same thread style. I'm sure they're fine. Here's the thing though. Here's what's got me concerned. Yeah. The standoffs that go onto the back of the case and the motherboard kind of lines up, you know, to like the little screw holes here and you put a screw into the standoff. Since there's no standoff right here, tells me there's probably one right about here. And that didn't get unscrewed and moved over to line up with the hole. And if you fire up your motherboard with standoffs behind your motherboard in the wrong spot, you might short it out. Do not try and power this thing on until you've taken the motherboard out. You've pulled the little standoffs out from right here, which I'm pretty sure you have one. There could be another one over here and over here. Double check them. Double check them. But you I'm pretty sure you have one here. Question. Yeah, be careful. How much would it be for you to take it apart, rebuild it, do all the cable management, make sure it's built right? Is that okay? Yeah. Cause he tried he was basically screaming and cursing at this thing all night. I need to build it right before you end up sending parts back and waiting a week. Yeah. That's for you. We'll see you guys a little bit later. Thank you. So this riser or this standoff right here was behind the motherboard over here. It should have been taken out and moved over here. If you have one of these out of place behind your motherboard, when you turn it on, you can easily fire your motherboard.
