My name is Adam. Adam? My name is Dave. I'm a computer here. It's in another room. It does not have a fiber. It does not have internet. No internet, okay? Okay, what happened is my wife plays games on it. Sure. And it's now it started last night. It said it wanted Windows update. I don't have no internet in that area. It kept going around. Let's take a look together. This is a Vista computer running Windows 11. Where'd you get this thing from? I got it from a friend of mine. Okay. I'm an amateur radio. Oh, sweet. And so I got radio stuff on there. Like the ham ham radios? Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay. Gotcha. That's exactly what it's doing. Well, what does that mean? It's installing Windows updates. It's possible it was just downloading in the background. And then when you tell it to reboot, but if it had no internet to download these, yeah. Well, I'm more than happy to check it in. Um, oh wait, here we go. Here we go. We're on business. We're on business. That's Magic countertop. It fixed itself. So what caused that to wait that long? Background. So the only thing that could have really happened is your friend came by, dropped off the computer, got it all set up, and your wife's just been putting it to sleep, waking it up, putting it to sleep, waking it up. It never actually restarted. Was over a year ago. Wow. So you had a 365 day uptime, maybe. That's got my system beat at home. So everything should be okay then. Yeah, your computer, now that it's had a reboot, it's basically taken everything that it's had going on its workspace and put everything back in the file cabinet where it goes. And so now things should be running a lot smoother. Files will open and close faster. Look at that. I says, well, it can't look for updates. There's no way it's going to find updates. That's why. Yeah. Had to be left over from him coming and dropping it off, setting it up, and you guys just never actually rebooted. Okay, Adam. How about I stop holding you hostage and get you unplugged here? Now I'll go out and get something to eat. Want some help out? Yeah. Okay. Thank you. You got it? Yeah. All right, so yeah, if you have any more issues when you get home, call and ask for Adam. Okay, so I just leave it run then. She's been she's been using it and then putting it into sleep mode. Tell her every now and then, maybe once a week, rather than clicking sleep, click shut down. Just shut down the whole. But if she hits shut down, she might walk up and try and wake it up with the keyboard mouse. That's a mistake and she put it in sleep mode. Yeah, if she does a shut down, show her that. She needs to use the power button to start turning it back on, not waking it up with the keyboard mouse. Thank you, Adam. I'll see you next time. You're very welcome. Take care.
