Before You Break Your Meta Glasses... Do This.

These are my glasses, the Meta Ray-Ban Gen 2s. Apparently, a lot of people have problems with broken arm hinges. I'm just kind of thinking, are the screws getting too loose? So I decided to just grab my T2, I think this is a T2 or T3 screwdriver. Um, the screws on the hinges are where they're at. And if your screws are loose, like mine were, um, the arms will just kind of flop around when you, if you were just taking them and shake them. And if your arms are kind of loose and swinging in as you're shaking them, you should probably think about getting a cheap screwdriver on Amazon for just a few dollars. Tightening both sides of your Meta glasses, again, not until it's tight, just until it's snug. If you overtighten it, it can definitely cause it to crack. But if your screws are loose, like mine were, um, the arms will just kind of flop around when you, if you were just taking them and shake them. I figured I would share that tip with you guys. So, if you do have a pair of these, you won't break them down the road, just check your screws once a month. So, yeah, this is the Facebook group that I joined. Um, somebody tagged me, so I put my video on there. It seems like a lot of people are having these broken arm problems. So, be careful tightening those screws. Don't do that. It's unethical. People should know when you're recording. It's pretty shady to be doing that stuff. But, just my opinion. I kept seeing photos of broken Ray-Ban Meta hinge arms, so I decided to check mine. I've only owned my glasses for about two months, and one hinge screw was almost half a turn loose. If you own a pair, it might be worth checking yours once a month. All you need is a Torx T3 precision screwdriver, and you can usually grab one (or a small precision screwdriver kit) on Amazon for just a few dollars. Don't overtighten the screw. Just snug it gently until it stops turning. I can't say loose screws are the reason for them breaking, but I've seen four or five of these broken arms now on this group. I've seen people messing up their light mods. Don't do that. It's unethical. People should know when you're recording. It's pretty shady to be doing that stuff. But, just my opinion.
