Do you ever feel winded in a conversation? And I don't mean you're huffing and puffing from the half marathon you ran beforehand. I mean you're struggling to find the word that comes next. You're having trouble articulating your thoughts into words and into speech. Maybe you're having brain fog. If this sounds like you, then I have an exercise that might help your speaking and your overall eloquency. I want you to pick a topic, any topic. But it should be a topic that you're relatively unfamiliar with or you've never heard of before. Give yourself the time to read up on this topic a little bit, but don't make it too long unless it's really interesting. Then you can do that. And then, I want you to select a time period. It could be 30 seconds. It could be anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes. And then pick a partner. It could be a dog, mom, dad, brother, girlfriend, boyfriend, random person on the street, whoever. Or if you're alone, it could be your camera. And then, you're going to speak on the topic. But the key is no filler words. No 'you know's, no 'uh's, no 'uh's. If you pause, you just gotta live through the pause until you find the next sentence. Do this at least once a day for 20 to 30 days. You'll find that the length of your pauses decrease as you become a more eloquent speaker. Let me know your guys' progress and follow for more tips. I'll see you all tomorrow.
