The engineer who built Claude Code just dropped a 28-minute video on how to actually use Claude Code properly and get a better output from it. And here are the key insights that I thought that you should know. So number one, if you are working in an existing project, don't just jump straight into building, right? Ask Claude Code about the codebase, ask what files are there, how do they work. This is literally how Anthropic onboards new engineers. And number two, before you even start building as well, if you're working on an existing or a new project, ask Claude Code to write up a plan and run it by you first, okay, instead of just going straight into building. So this way you don't have to spend as much time debugging because you've already caught the bugs at the beginning. And number three, stop typing your prompts, okay? Use a tool like Wispr Flow. And this is a tool that I personally use, right, because typing takes long. Download Wispr Flow, okay, and then if you're on a MacBook, you hold down the FN key. If you're on a Windows, I think you hold down the Windows key and then you just speak, okay? Typing takes too long, especially when you're vibe coding. Trust me. Number four, listen, I didn't even know this, okay? Claude Code is actually multimodal. So you can grab a screenshot or an image, copy it and drop it straight into your terminal. This is a much more effective way to give Claude Code direction when designing something. Number five, give Claude Code a way to check its own work, right? So for example, you can say, after you finish building this website, use Playwright to take a screenshot of the website and check to see if it matches with the design brief I gave you at the beginning. And that way you're not having to constantly speak to it and saying, okay, change this, change that, change this. It's able to check its own work and it saves you a whole bunch of time. And the last one is pretty interesting, right? Boris, the guy who built Claude Code, believes that with how fast the models are developing nowadays, we're actually going to move from IDEs, you know, your Cursor or your VS Code, we're actually not going to be using those anymore and we're going to be moving to CLIs, command line interfaces, things like Claude Code, things like Codex, things like Bolt, Lovable, where you just speak, you know, in natural language and obviously it just builds whatever you want, right? But I thought honestly those insights were extremely interesting and I really hope that helps. Follow for more free game.
