Fable 5 disappears July 12. Here's how to keep its intelligence forever for free. It's included in paid plans, but after July 12th, it's going to be crazy expensive to run. It's going to be like a pay-per-use, so each message you type to it you are paying for. So yes, use it while you can, but I'm going to show you a way how you can keep the intelligence of Fable 5 and run it inside of the cheaper models that you're going to have access to, like Opus 4.8 or Sonnet 5. Now this process is called skill distillation and it's probably the best thing you can do this week. So here's how it works. So what you do is you give Fable 5 a task that it does really, really well. Okay, and instead of just letting it do the task and letting the task run, what you're going to do is you're going to write down its exact process, its thought process behind why it's going about that task in that particular way. You know, its approach, its exact process and discipline. And then you put all of that into a skill file. Now if you don't know what a skill file is, a skill file is just a simple markdown document that basically teaches an AI how to do something properly, so you don't have to keep repeating and explaining yourself. And here's the best part. After July 12th, you can still run that same skill file, that same intelligence inside of the other models, you know, Opus 4.8 and Sonnet 5, so they can learn how Fable 5 would approach a certain task. And it can learn its exact thought processes and how to actually go about certain tasks. So then when you ask Opus 4.8 to do a certain task, it's going to do it in the same way that Fable 5 would do it. So you still have access to that intelligence, if you get what I'm saying. So my suggestion to you, before July 12th, have it teach you, have it turn everything it's good at into skill files, you know, its best prompting, hardest workflows, research processes, analysis, basically turn its whole brain into documents, so you have everything documented and you're able to access that same intelligence.
