I need to expose the so-called experts that are actually scamming you. Talking about the ones that make you think that they have their shit together. Their marketing is on point. Their audience is engaged and the aesthetic makes you think like, okay, this person knows exactly what they're doing. They're the ones that you watch a few videos, you feel something and then you like buy their digital product. Sure, maybe you can pick up a thing or two from their content, but if you're being honest, you're not really learning anything. You're just caught up in the desire that they're selling, the lifestyle, the confidence, the feeling that buying from them is going to get you there. I've bought other digital products before, but I definitely have had a few where they kind of stuck out to me. One was like a $97 product, a 60-day Instagram challenge, and all because I couldn't help myself, I actually pulled the metadata from the PDF. If you don't know what metadata is, it's basically like a digital footprint that is basically left inside of like who built it and when. And the name on the file was not even from the person who sold it to me. Different creator entirely. So you can do with that information of what you will, or you can tell me in the comments who you think might have done that. Aside it was 136 pages of like chat GPT slap. There's zero personalization, zero release strategy behind it. You basically paid $97 for something that took someone maybe less than 20 minutes to create. But the product being kind of quote unquote garbage is not even the point. The point is how you got there. The content before the sale was compelling enough that basically you already decided before you hit checkout. These business owners have understood their audience so well and exactly what gap they're trying to close and what feeling would make them pull out their credit card and be like, okay, I need it now. And they use all of that to sell you something that maybe delivered nothing. Now sit with that because the psychology is exactly what your content should be doing, not to scam anyone, but because your audience has a problem and you have the solution. And the only thing standing in their way from actually buying from you does your content actually make them feel the same way that you did when you bought someone else's digital product? When you're building a personal brand as a business owner, you cannot separate the brand from the offer. Your content needs to create desire. Make your audience feel that gap of where they are and where they actually want to be. Make them feel so specifically understood that buying feels inevitable. And then your offer has to actually deliver on what that content promised. The business owners I just described figured out half the equation. You know how to move people to buy, but they skipped as the part where the product actually helps anyone. Have you ever bought something, downloaded it and just felt like, wait, this is it? Because I think way more of you have been there and are not willing to say it out loud.
