Happy Pride Month to everybody across the world and when I mean across the world I genuinely mean across the world because recently Ghana passed an anti LGBTQ+ Bill to sentence to sentence and harm people who support queer rights and people who are just deemed as queer in general that can do up to 10 years in prison why is this important because it won't just stop it's gonna transfer to different parts of African nations because it is a western imperial tactic a lot of groups in western the western works are coming to African nations to implement harsher queer and laws on queer people across the continent and again it will not just stop in Ghana but there's different ways to protest these things 'cause there are always gonna be people who are queer who are always gonna be fighting for queer liberation across the world so here's how you can help right now there's currently this protest called the One Star Protest where if you go to link in my bio or you look up Black Star Square in Ghana you can leave a one star review asking the Ghana Parliament to stop the Bill and to support their queer people because Ghana's entire thing is making sure that there's more tourism in the country and being a beacon for people to come to Ghana but you can't say you want more tourism and you can't say you wanna be a beacon of Africa you do not accept all African people even in your nation and at the same vein you can't say you support all queer people if you do not support genuinely all queer people everywhere in the world because one country's liberation to queerness is also tied to yours and one country is homophobic what is stopping them from also making your country more homophobic and disrupting the way that you live as well it is very all people no matter where they come from no matter their skin colour no matter their nationality and no matter their sexuality because at the end of the day we are all humans and our freedoms are tied to each other click the link in my bio to find out more about the one star protest support queer people everywhere in Ghana in Africa everywhere across the world because our freedoms are tied to each other and we all deserve to love who we love
