If you are working for a toxic company that has negatively impacted your mental health AND negatively impacted your confidence You need to do this 1 tip from a COO TODAY To open your eyes and remind yourself who the heck you are BEFORE you clock in tomorrow 💛 #careeradvice #toxic #worklife Hi, my name is Beverly Dines. I'm a chief operating officer who's been scaling operations for over a decade and multiple industries. And I am also your chief empowerment officer. Here's what I need you to do before you clock in tomorrow. Pull up your resume. Remove any personal information from it. Then I need you to go into Claude. You can also use chat GPT for this. Paste your resume in there or upload the file. And then I need you to prompt it with this: "If you were my supervisor, based on my resume, how would you brag about me to your network? And what about my experience makes me a special employee to have?" Read that whole thing. Every single word that is generated from that prompt. Because here's why this matters and why your toxic boss is not gonna want you to do this. When you are in toxic environments, especially when you've been in them for a long time or if you've been job-hugging, you start to believe the narrative. The micromanagement that you're not ready for that next level, that you need improvement or just barely meet expectations, that you're lucky to have this job. That is a toxic environment doing what toxic environments do. Making you forget who the heck you are and who you were when you walked into that job to begin with. Your resume does not lie. It is a document that captures what you built, what you have actually led. And this exercise is a reality check. Because here's what I know about working in multiple industries over the past decade. These environments teach you to play yourself small, under the guise of professional development, through fear mongering, through exhaustion, so that you think that better is not out there for you. This is your evidence. That any organization would be incredibly lucky to have you. And not just that, but you are special. Because literally no one is like you. No one has the same expertise as you. So who are you going to listen to this week? Your company who tells you not yet, even though you've been advocating for years for opportunity. Or the micro manager who keeps making you feel like you're not a part of the team, even though you helped build these things? Or are you going to believe the data? That you are incredible. And every time you walk into that job this week, I want you to look at that prompt. Screenshot it and save it to your phone if you need to. But read it. Read it every morning. Because that is who you are. Not what your environment is telling you. Comment below if this resonated and tell me, how did that prompt make you feel? Share 💛 to someone you know needs to see this before they go into work tomorrow. Follow for more 💛
