the visa I'm on the highly skilled professional visa and there are few different versions of it but it is a point based system so if you can get points in different categories 70 or 80 points then you can get this visa i got the 80 point one which is why I could apply for permanent residency in 1 year (instead of 10) but the categories are basically if you have a bachelor degree master degree or depending on your age how many years of experience you have your level of Japanese if you studied in Japan if you have a patent lots of different categories and ways to get points so it's not just one type of person i don't think I fit in the very typical stereotype of it being like a IT person that owns a lot of money you know what I mean I'm a content creator my advice is search highly skilled professional on google there are a lot of articles posted by lawyers as well that's how I found my lawyer you can find the point system there find out if you're eligible and then yeah
