Designers, I have a huge update for you guys. If you've ever wanted to move to the UK as in United Kingdom, you need to watch this video. The UK has officially launched a dedicated global talent Visa partner specifically for designers. Before now, there wasn't a clear way for designers. I mean, the talent Visa already existed but it wasn't obvious how designers fit into it. Now, they've introduced a dedicated design partner with much clearer requirements for designers in general. You know, like U.S. designers, product designers, graphic, web, you name it. For those of you who don't know, the global talent visa is for people who have built a strong career in their field and can prove their making an impact. So like instead of needing a company to sponsor you, the UK let you apply based on your professional achievements and the work you've done. You can continue freelancing there, you can do your full-time job. You can even run your own design business in the UK. Of course, there are requirements, you need to show that you are doing meaningful work in your space as a designer. You need a strong portfolio, you will need recommendation letters, you will need a measurable result. you need to publish work. You also need to some proof of you maybe doing some teaching, you know speaking at events and any other evidence that shows you're contributing to the design industry. And no, you don't need to be famous. Just need a solid proof that shows that your work has made an impact and that you're being recognized for it. If your application is successful, you can also bring your spouse, your children and you know, later on, it can even lead to a permanent residency. If this sounds like something you're interested in, check out this link here for the official requirements. If there are areas where you don't it, start working on them now so that when you are ready to apply, you'll have a much more stronger application. You're welcome.
