Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
Anthropic just updated their privacy policy. And starting July 8th, Claude will ask for your face. To keep using Claude free, Pro or Max, you have to verify your identity by sending in a photo or a short video of you, a scan of your passport or ID, and even your face geometry template. The thing is, Anthropic isn't even storing it themselves. They're forwarding everything to two third-party companies: Yoti for age verification, Persona for identity. So your face, passport, biometrics end up on someone else's servers. You just have to hope nothing leaks. And here's the part that makes it worse: team or enterprise accounts are completely safe, and only the regular users on personal accounts have to hand over faces just to talk to Claude. What do you think about Anthropic's new privacy policy? Drop in the comments.
