Please don't post another blog post until you watch this. You see, most blog posts that are published these days are completely invisible to the AI search engines and just completely invisible in general. You might not know it, but I can guarantee that if you go to your Google Search Console, you're going to have a lot of your blog posts with this little classification crawled, currently not indexed. This website has currently 282 affected pages with that. This is Google's passive aggressive way of saying, I read your content. I just don't think it's good enough for me to put it in my database, meaning in search. And for the most part, it comes down to people trying to optimize for a single keyword when writing their content, when instead they should be optimizing for something that's called a fan out query. A fan out query is a little bit like an FAQ. You need somewhat of a newish SEO tool to do this. But I'm using DataWise. I go to fan out query, I put my seed keyword or seed question in this instance, SEO content, and I find all these fan out queries. So what are they and how are they going to help me write better content for the AI search engines? Let's answer that first one. What on earth is a fan out query? What happens when you ask an AI search engine something like ChatGPT or Google AI mode, let's say you ask it how to write SEO content. It doesn't just grab that question and say, don't worry, I'll research this. It actually asks itself a bunch of related follow-up questions. Now the user can't see those, but the search engines definitely ask themselves these questions. These are what we call fan out queries. And it asks itself these questions because it wants to do extensive research as much as it can to then synthesize all of these questions and find all the answers to give you the best answer possible. So now that we know what a fan out query is, well, how on earth is it going to help us write better content that's going to get cited? We need to understand what these fan out queries, in this instance I found a total of 22, so that we can answer these fan out queries within our content. This is going to give us so much more opportunities and chances to get cited and mentioned by the AI overviews. Now obviously coming comes in the next logical step. How on earth do you write this content in a way that's going to get you cited? Well, we teach this completely for free. I have a seven lesson AI search Kickstarter that you can access.
