This looks a lot like one of those Rokos/Howard golden handcuffs situations. a lot of money, about Alan Howard and Chris Rokos. Alan Howard founded a hedge fund in the early 2000s, called Brevan Howard. One of the biggest, macro hedge funds. Brevan is an acronym of the other six founders' last names. And Chris Rokos is the R in Brevan Howard. These guys have net something of like $4 billion and $3.5 billion respectively. These are billionaires. So when Rokos' leave in 2012, he had a non-compete that would have prevented him from starting and raising capital. And it led to of magnitude. They are industry standard practice for non-competes, typically paid when people are switching firms. On the sell side, it's like one to three months. On the buy side, hedge fund, they can be sometimes 1 to 3 years. Rokos' was five years. It's the longest non-compete I have ever heard of in history. So you can imagine these guys went to war. I found a Dealbreaker article that called it a half a decade death sentence that will cause his trading hands and legs to shrivel up and break off, or at least become purely ornamental. And it led to most bitter, highly publicized non-compete in hedge fund history. That's what they're referencing here. So after three years, they resolved it. And Brevan was one of the seed investors in Rokos' Capital. So this is the broader real life history in which they are placing Anna and Petra.
