The Myth of the Founder. It's 2017 and you have an idea. You understand the problem, talk to the customer, you understand the TAM, you know exactly what needs to exist and you're shopping in the valley for capital. The first question everyone asks you is, do you have a technical co-founder? If the answer was no, accelerators pass, angels didn't text back. Silicon Valley has lore around founding duos. Wozniak builds, Jobs distributes, Hewlett and Packard. Much of the future was built on the idea of two separate people, the genius and the salesman in some combination. So what happens when distribution becomes the most important? When the market is taste-maxing, the VCs are lurking in Cosmos boards. And if you don't understand TikTok, you might just be cooked. Software hasn't been one-shotted, but it is the era of the solo founder. Emergent is one of the fastest growing AI companies, partly because they will just build your mobile app, and the dashboard, and the CRM. The core company concept gets coded in a chat. So to all the support items, the promo website, the ops management system, the results and the demand are incredible. While the lore of the cracked founder is real, Emergent has made technical optional. The new bottleneck is distribution and people are solving it with scale. Don't launch to founder social, hammer the hundreds of posts. You find the outliers, we redistribute them to the creators. The best new founders want to adapt to software, they'll build software around their business. Do you want to learn how to build on Emergent? Comment "founder" for the link.
