There's a new trend happening right now called personal software, and honestly, I think it's one of the coolest parts of AI building. The idea is pretty simple, but instead of waiting for some company to create the specific app that you need, you just create it yourself with using tools like Claude, Code, Codex, Cursor. And this doesn't have to be some big startup idea, just something very small and specific for your needs. This can be something super specific, like a workout tracker that works exactly how you want, or a content planner for a small niche that you're in, or even a custom dashboard for your side hustle. Stuff that wouldn't make sense for a big company to make, but makes perfect sense for you. Software used to be built for millions of people, but with these AI tools that we have now, software can be built just for one person, yourself. And this trend is already getting crazy. Business Insider reported that 414,000 apps were launched in the first quarter of 2026. That's up 115% from last year. So the bottleneck really isn't if you can code anymore, it's can you notice problems that you are having day-to-day? Can you explain what product you would want in order to solve it? And can you keep on iterating it until it works?
