Can Pauline Hanson become Prime Minister? No, she cannot become Prime Minister because in Australia we don't pick a candidate, we pick a party. That's how we elect the Prime Minister. We elect the party and the leader of the winning party is the person who becomes Prime Minister. So to become Prime Minister, you first have to be a member of the party that wins. And is One Nation gonna win the next election? No, One Nation is definitely not gonna win because to be able to win in a federal election, so to become the party that is able to form government, you have to have the majority of seats in the Lower House. So in the Lower House, there's 150 seats. So you need a minimum of 76 seats. You need at least 50% to win. And you need to beat the other parties. So currently, Labor has 94 seats. So they have an overwhelming majority out of 150 seats. Labor currently has 94. Never in an election in the history of the party has One Nation won a single seat, just one seat in the Lower House. So currently, One Nation holds two seats as of this year. The reason is because one of the seats was Sussan Ley's old seat. So Sussan Ley, who was a former member of the Liberal Party, she resigned, she gave up her seat. And that was won by a One Nation member. And the second seat is held by Barnaby Joyce and he defected to One Nation. So he was not even voted in or elected as a One Nation member. He was elected as, I think, a member of the Nationals. And then he, whilst occupying that seat, defected to One Nation. So now One Nation has two seats in the Lower House. And this is the first time, this is the first year ever, ever in their history that they have had this many seats in the Lower House. Neither of them won by Pauline Hanson.
